The University campus is situated on Claverton Down, to the East of Bath. The A4 and A36 roads run through the city; the M4 motorway is approximately 16 kilometres (10 miles) away.

If approaching from the M4:

[1] Leave the motorway at junction 18 and follow the A46 south 12 kilometres (8 miles) to the Bath exit from the dual carriageway.
[2] Turning right here brings you on to the A4 westbound to Bath.
[3] After 2.4 kilometres (1.5 miles) turn left at the traffic lights (signposted "City Centre A36"). You will pass the Fire Station on your left.
[4] After 640 metres (700 yards) turn right at the traffic lights towards XXXX.
[5] Continue along the road, through a set of traffic lights to a roundabout.
[6] Turn first left onto Bathwick Hill.
[7] The Norwood Avenue entrance is about 100 metres further on on the left hand side once you have reached the top of the hill in Claverton Down Road.

If approaching from the city centre, the A4 or the A36 eastbound follow signs to "Warminster", "Claverton Down", "American Museum" and "Park & Ride (University)".

If approaching from the A36 (northbound) follow signs to " Claverton Down".

There will also be special SUDC 2007 signs on most approaches to the University.

On entering "The Avenue", follow the SUDC 2007 signs, curving around the Sports Training Village going over several humps to reach the University Bus Stop. The coach may stop in the first half of the stop to unload.

Coaches will then have to travel back into town to park in the Coach Park. All information including maps regarding the coach park may be found here.
